ARTIST STATEMENT:
My evolving body of work since the 1960’s has been diverse both in technique and tone. Currently, I enjoy using textural encaustics infused with oils to create depth and repeating motifs that are inspired by nature. Encaustics have allowed me to manipulate the natural world by using diverse materials including wax, rice paper and found objects. I’m inspired by the natural beauty and seasonal patterns in my Aspen home that effortlessly create a compelling narrative of color, imagery and composition that is reflected in my work.

She is an avid skier, world traveler and enjoys exploring the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley with her children and grandchildren.
